Create Your Own Club Play Session!

Want to Host a Pickleball Session? Here’s How to Make It an Official Club Event!

One of the things that makes our pickleball community so special is how often members take the lead in bringing people together. Whether it’s a casual drop-in or a recurring weekly run-around, we love seeing members organize play sessions and help our Club stay fun.

To keep things running smoothly (and safely!), here’s everything you need to know about hosting a session under the Redwood Pickleball Club Sonoma County (RPCSC) name.

👍 Why We Ask for a Quick Check-In

Using the Club name for a play session means it becomes an official Club activity — and that means it’s covered by our insurance. To make sure everyone stays protected, we just need to confirm that the event is on our radar. It’s simple, quick, and helps us keep communication clear for the whole Club.

🗓️ Organizing a Session as an Official RPCSC Event

Thinking of creating a session on Pickleheads so other members can join? Awesome! You can create the session on the RPCSC Pickleheads page but, before you hit “post,” just reach out to one of our Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer) for a brief thumbs-up.

Good news:
If it’s a recurring session, you only need approval once.

🎨 Using the Club Name or Logo

We want to avoid confusion and keep things consistent, so please use the RPCSC name, logo, or any other Club identifiers only for approved sessions. This helps everyone know which Club events are official.

✉️ Getting Approval Is Easy

All we need is a short message with the basics:

  • Date

  • Time

  • Location

  • Type and Level of Play

Send it to any Officer of the Board or email us here, and you’ll usually get a quick response. Once approved, go ahead and post your session as an official RPCSC event and enjoy bringing players together!

If you ever have questions or want help setting something up, just let us know — we love seeing new ideas and new sessions pop up. Thanks for helping make our pickleball community stronger, safer, and even more fun!
