  • Linda Cerini

I'm a happy wife, devoted dog mom, and retired RN who fell in love with pickleball almost two years ago. As President of the Redwood Pickleball Club, I’m dedicated to fostering fun, friendship, and fantastic games. Join us to play, learn, laugh, and create unforgettable memories while building a vibrant, inclusive community for everyone to enjoy!

I started playing pickleball in October 2022 after retiring from marathon running. When I'm not on the pickleball court, I'm hiking trails of Sonoma County and Europe.

I took a beginner pickleball lesson in the fall of 2022 and quickly became enamored with the sport. During the lessons, I made friends with several classmates, and we are still playing together as lifelong learners. Along with these classmates and close friends, we embarked on a mission to create our club! The camaraderie and positive relationships we’ve built while having fun is a very worthwhile endeavor, and of course, we “play with a purpose.”

My pickleball ‘journey’ started with a desire to find a fun and engaging way to get moving again after three years of pandemic inactivity. Having heard of a fast-paced, easy-to-learn game that combined elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, I was intrigued. With a cheap pickleball paddle, I took the plunge………and, like so many others, became hooked. Our hope is that the Redwood Pickleball Club will encourage more folks to get out and play.

I started playing pickleball two years ago and was immediately hooked. I’ve met some wonderful friends and I’m thrilled to be a founding member and serve on the board of the Redwood Pickleball Club. If I’m not selling houses, traveling with my husband, or playing with my grandchildren, you will find me on the court.

  • Alicia Hicks

I am a pickleball enthusiast who first fell in love with the game while on a working vacation/ cruise, supporting adult men with developmental disabilities. The infamous game of "one more" had me hooked and in search of a local connection offering regular play within a community-oriented group that happened to be rooted in laughter, cooperative competition, and focused practice goals. I found Redwood Pickleball Club, joining and becoming a member in Winter of 2023 and board member in Spring of 2024.

  • Tina Brusnahan

I've lived in Sonoma County my whole life and, when I retired a few years ago, I had plenty to keep me busy. But, when I was introduced to pickleball, I was hooked. l am competitive by nature and found that you don't need to be athletic to be competitive in this sport. I've made so many new friends and find players to be so helpful as I continue to try and improve my game. Looking forward to more play and fun events with Redwood Pickleball Club.

I began my Pickelball journey in the Winter of 2017 when our Volleyball league was on holiday break. When Volleyball league play resumed, I put my paddle away. COVID-19 kept us off the  “courts” until September 15, 2020 when the city of Novato opened 6 courts at the Hill recreation area. That day I drove to Sports Basement and bought 3 paddles. I recruited my volleyball teammates to come to the Pickleball courts. By May 2021 I was organizing and managing weekly play and lessons for 42 friends. My quest to take lessons from different instructors brought me to

Adam’s classes at Finley which is where I met the most wonderful fellow students AKA RPCSC Board and members who have enriched my life in so many ways.

When I’m not on the Pickleball court or the volleyball court, you’ll probably find me on a hiking trail.

Up until just a few years ago, I lived in Alaska and didn’t know pickleball existed, and then I saw people playing in an RV park on a road trip.  Shortly after moving to Sonoma County, I took my first pickleball lesson and immediately knew I had accidentally joined a cult.  I was obsessed! Luckily, I found this group, back when we were just some classmates on a pickleball text chain. I love all the laughs, camaraderie, fun competition, and genuine friendship found here and am excited to be joining the board.  I am so proud of what our board members have accomplished so far and can’t wait to see where our club goes from here.
