Play with a Purpose: Supporting Our Village Closet

Our Club’s spirit of teamwork reaches well beyond the pickleball court! This October, we’re putting that spirit into action by collecting new socks for Our Village Closet, a local nonprofit supporting children and youth in foster care and the families who care for them.

A Simple Way to Help

Children entering foster care may arrive at a new home with very few belongings. Everyday essentials, including a fresh pair of socks, can help them feel comfortable and cared for during a time of change.

Our Village Closet provides clothing, personal care items, and essential supplies to these children and families. Our Club is focusing on one practical way to help: keeping its shelves stocked with socks!

Let’s Make October a Month of Giving

Throughout October, we invite every member to contribute new socks for kids aged 3 to 12.. Whether you donate a single pair or a multipack, your gift will be part of a shared effort to support local children and families. Just bring the socks to a Club play session and we’ll do the rest! Alternatively, feel free to donate $10 via Venmo to Board member Joanne Trifoso.

Thank you for bringing your generosity and enthusiasm to our sock drive. The friendship and encouragement we share on the courts can make a difference in our community, too.
